Tonight, a software developer announced in the wake of sex scandals rocking the Nation, that his company has developed an application to "delete" text messages once the recipient has scanned the contents.
The creator conjured up the novel idea after it dawned on him one day that - for the most part - celebrities would not have been drawn into the glare of the nasty spotlight (and raked over the coals) if their text messages had not been "saved" or intercepted by unscrupulous gossip mongers out to make a fast buck.
Users will be able to set a timer to erase the incriminating text message within a specific time frame or on the heels of being perused.
Once the text has been "zapped" only the image of the tracks will remain.
When one woman was interviewed on-camera impromptu, she was asked how she would react if she spied the tell-tale text traces on her husband's cell.
"There would definitely be some issues to discuss, for sure," she snapped.
What would prompt her to take a peek into his private "lair" in the first place?
Uh-huh!
Although the application is being called - "Tiger Text" - the software manufacturer claims that golfer Tiger Woods did not inspire the product.
Do they think we were born yesterday?
No, just as green as the gold course, he'll be (triumphantly) returning to.
Fore!
