nothing more than the titile and that I think the Dow will next test 6550 before it tests the old highs. As things are not right in the US. I would still be completely invested in BRIC countries, and short equities here not short treasuries (but would change that opinion if the dollar got stronger and real economic and employment data was released with real CPI). I know too many now who have nothing. And the data is too imprecise or accurate for accounting for 5 years of those coming of age to be employed (and were not) and for those unemployed (highly underestimated) to find work and for all living on the edge each day while the top 10% pay 17% in taxes which is far less than the declining middle class and far far less than the effective tax rate on all those below median.
Again this is a game and rules can be changed and the reason they have not been is the top 10% of wage earners and corporations (especially banking) who, since reagan, have received the benefit of all this and are in charge of trillions which they invest out of the US knowing we are going down. No health care, tea party cuts, all insanity. For now. Why did not anyone see this as I did in the 90s or write in 2003 Bush has destroyed us by spending and by wars. I dont understand the clueless who know nothing and think they are meant to keep all. See the middle east and the revolutions and know its you next. Ossama bin Laden born to a family that did billions with the US in "construction" mainly oil rigs for years was a son of a Yemen born man who moved to Saudi Arabia long ago. His demise should give optimism and floods down the midwest should bring soaring grain prices but do not. As Brazil owns the corn and bean and cattle and hog markets and oil (sold in reals to China in yuan in foward markets not to us nd not in dollars) meaning we are losing importance in the world from 2003 on. The ausie dollar from 42 cents to over a buck as the canadian from 58 cents to over a buck. We now owe Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil rather than viasa versa for my lifetime and the Saudis? And the Pakistanis? And those in the mideast? Power is money and who has it? They do. The world is changing in ways we cant forsee. But for those around me near starving for lack of medicaire, welfare etc.....it is not reassuring we have 30% of our population which is not important for life for the upper 70%, nor good that Sara Palin actual is quoted as one of the creatures bound for extinction.
