2 for you & 3 for me!
Today, I strode into the post office in West Hollywood to pluck up my mail.
In the secure box, I was startled to encounter a piece of personal correspondence, that been defaced by a post worker!
Friends posted a "Happy Birthday" greeting to me in the form of a colorful postcard.
On one side, the crisp pretty flyer bore my name and address.
On the reverse, there was a humorous cartoon of happy feet (I had surgery on two toes recently), with a birthday greeting in bold neon colors.
Guess what?
An employee at that outlet had taken a strip of postal tape and entirely blocked out the section of the card that said "Happy Birthday".
An ominous message, wouldn't you say?
Someone over there doesn't wish me well - or at least - not a very Happy Birthday.
A few months ago, I caught a couple of the postal workers tampering with my mail, and was forced to file a complaint with the Postmaster General.
I also posted a warning to alert other box-holders of the potential dangers of not keeping their eye out for goods and correspondence they were expecting to ensure the precious items arrived safely (and didn't end up in a postal worker's backpack).
Since that time, expensive magazines, DVD's, and slick promos from companies seeking publicity for their products on my website have vanished into thin air.
Well, you have only to stroll into the West Hollywood Postal Station and take a gander at these racist low-lifes - who appear to be nothing more than street hookers in postal uniforms - to figure out what their problem is.
God Bless America!
